REDISTRICTING

Following the changes in population discovered by the census last year, Virginia has re-districted. Fluvanna, while still in two House Districts, has been moved to a new Senate District and possibly a different district of the U.S. House of Representatives. Elections for state offices were held November 8.

For state Senate, we are in District 22. This is a newly-drawn district. Republican Tom Garrett was elected. He is the Commonwealth's Attorney  for Louisa County.

For the House of Delegates, the Fork Union and Columbia precincts are in District 65. The incumbent is Republican Lee Ware, a history teacher at Blessed Sacrament Huguenot, a small Catholic school in Powhatan, Virginia.

The Rivanna Precinct along with Cunningham and Palmyra, are in House District 58. The incumbent is Republican Rob Bell, a lawyer in Albemarle County
